"« Just Do It ! » – Célébration de l'écriture plurilingue dans un concours d'écriture de premier cycle

Le Student Learning Commons de l’Université Simon Fraser organise annuellement un concours d’écriture interdisciplinaire pour étudiants de premier cycle. Ce concours vise à remettre en question les cadres de déficit dans les centres d’écriture et de réussite académique. Il permet au centre d’écriture de promouvoir l’excellence en écriture étudiante. Les organisateurs ont adapté les catégories de soumission aux besoins des étudiants et enseignants, soutenant les objectifs du centre. Cet article décrit la création de la catégorie ‘Prix Plurilingue’, reflétant l’engagement du centre envers la diversité linguistique et la justice linguistique. Le choix du terme ‘plurilingue’ est expliqué, en opposition à d’autres termes comme Apprenant de la Langue Anglaise (ELL), Anglais comme Langue Additionnelle (EAL), Anglais comme Seconde Langue (ESL) et apprenants multilingues.Références
